What is Infotech e-Merge?

Infotech e-Merge is a new, virtual construction technology conference featuring a jam-packed day of presentations, panels, and peer-to-peer breakout sessions. 

Built for anyone in the infrastructure industry with a role in construction administration, GIS, or bidding, e-Merge will feature specific lanes relevant to your interests. We’ll talk about the way things are done, the way things should be done, and the way things’ll be done in the future.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker

The State of the Industry

Presented by David Unkefer, Senior Construction Engineer, FHWA

For the inaugural e-Merge keynote, FHWA leader David Unkefer will speak on the state of the industry, with a specific focus on what’s coming down to locals from the federal government.



David is a Senior Construction and Project Management Engineer providing national technical assistance to FHWA and its partners. Recent experiences include leading FHWA's Every Day Counts 6 Digital As-Builts initiatives, leading efforts to effectively deploy BIM for asset management, and supporting deployment of Alternative Contracting Methods (ACMs). David has been with FHWA for 30 years in various engineering and leadership positions in 9 states. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and Purdue University.
